Dario Pizzano

Professional Baseball Player & MS4MS Lead Baseball Ambassador

“I am extremely excited about my new involvement with MS4MS and I look forward to one day saying my mom “had” MS!”

Allison Mannino

MS4MS Lead Ambassador

“I am so glad that I found MS4MS and they welcomed me with open arms. Finding a group of people who are just as dedicated to spreading awareness as I am is AMAZING! “

Allison is a MS Warrior and Lead MS Ambassador for MS4MS. In February 2000 she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, in her senior year of college. she used the diagnosis as a catalyst to broaden her horizons and move to a new city and start a great new chapter in her life. Since then, she has found family and friends and consistently spreads awareness about MS. One goal Allison has is to always be there for anyone who needs to talk about MS. If they have it, if they care for someone who has it or if they just want to understand it better she wants to be there for them.

Julian Uccello

Professional Soccer Player & Lead Soccer MS Warrior Ambassador

“MS will be beaten, but it’s going to need everyone’s hunger and positive attitude to beat it!”

My name is Julian Uccello. I am an official Lead Soccer MS Warrior Ambassador for MS4MS. I was diagnosed in February 2011 with Multiple Sclerosis which made my professional soccer career in Europe come to an end. Since then, I have been always wanting to be a part of a special group of people that all have the same ideas and same goals in the MS industry. My main goal is to make sure we can raise as much money as possible to help find a cure for MS and give back to the MS community. One thing I have learned is that with MS there are so many unknowns, trials and so many different medications but without the strength from all of us with MS, it will only get worse. We all need to stay strong and keep fighting because MS will be beat.

Mary Jordan

International Equestrian, MS Warrior & Lead Equestrian Ambassador

“My goal in life is to share my personal experiences and spread awareness and hope to individuals and families.”

My name is Mary Jordan, and I am the official Lead Equestrian Ambassador for MS4MS, as well as a member of Team USA at the 2010 World Equestrian Games in Kentucky, competing in the sport of Para Dressage.

In October 2002 I became the third person in my family diagnosed with this Multiple Sclerosis. At the time I was a working journalist, active equestrian competitor and coach, wife, and the mother of a 5-year-old son. I have experienced the entire spectrum of this disease firsthand, first as a child of an MS patient—my father James was a quadriplegic living at a time when there were no MS treatments available—to later becoming a patient myself raising a family. Told MS was “not hereditary” our family experienced the initial shock when my sister and I both were both diagnosed. Later my sister and I experienced the joy and advent of life-changing disease modifying therapies. To date, I am the subject of multiple MS studies in Boston to better understand this disease.

My goal in life is to share my personal experiences and spread awareness and hope to individuals and families. My sport is the conduit to my message: instead of “telling” someone they will be OK, I seek to be a living, breathing example of what a person with MS can do! I am a big proponent of health, wellness ,treatment and lifestyle changes. When coupled with identifying what each person’s unique individual passions might be in life, I believe we can each create a spark that can motivate us toward the best possible outcomes!

I have devoted my life to help individuals and families face the challenges of this disease, which touches every aspect of family life, physically, emotionally, spiritually and financially. It is an honor to work with MS4MS on their mission to raise funds for research, as well as develop support for people in need. Together we can continue to change the landscape of MS to make a difference!
